2020 has been a turbulent year with Covid-19 impacting almost every citizen, business and country across the world.
However, with the Covid-19 vaccine starting to be rolled out, 2021 should fill many of us with prosperity and hope.
As we say goodbye to 2020, we would like to take a moment to look back at some of our highlights from the year. Over the last 12 months, we welcomed a new team member, ran our first guest interview and featured in People Management.

Growing our team
Nick is the newest member of our team. He joined Mindful permanently in September after completing a successful 10-week internship with us over summer. He is a recent graduate from the University of Sussex, where he attained a BSc in Business and Management Studies. In his role as Business Support Executive, Nick manages our marketing campaigns, as well as supporting our procurement consultancy and commercial management projects.

Becoming a Bloom Accredited Supplier
We recently announced that we are now accredited as a Bloom Accredited Supplier with Bloom Procurement Services. Recognised as one of the fastest-growing marketplaces for buying services in the UK, Bloom is a marketplace framework that allows access to a thriving community of users and practitioners. As a Bloom Accredited Supplier, we can support public sector buyers with our pool of experienced consultants and practitioners.
Talking Digital Transformation
In August, Nick McGrath, Director of the MyCO Programme, spoke with Amit Kapoor to discuss how Digital Transformation programmes can be delivered right the first time. The current backdrop of Covid-19, recession, Brexit and IR35 makes this an especially pertinent conversation. Nick McGrath’s background is in business change and programme leadership and it was highly insightful to hear him talk all things digital transformation.

Predictive Index Certification
In August, Mindful were accredited with The Predictive Index (PI) Talent Optimization Consultants Certification. This certification demonstrates our deep understanding of the talent optimisation discipline. PI is a relationship predictor tool that allows you to see in advance how a prospective candidate might get along with some of their key stakeholders; even if they haven’t met each other during the interview process! It is a tool that we have used within our organisation and it is unbelievably accurate. We are now incorporating the learnings into the standard service we provide to our customers.
Featuring in People Management
In February, Amit Kapoor featured in People Management’s ultimate guide to private sector off-payroll rule changes. He appeared alongside some of the biggest names in the contracting business including Seb Maley, CEO of IR35 specialist Qdos Contractor. Amit argued that IR35 is in fact “an opportunity to become a client of choice” if you handle it sensibly and contributed to Survival strategy 3 in which he discussed Mindful’s innovative way of dealing with contractors.
